Time flies if you are having a good time and if you are with usually the one you love. As the years pass, perhaps your anniversaries commence to sneak up on you, with you and your loved one seemingly always finding yourself going out to dinner again. Or possibly the big day comes and goes, and that you don't do anything at all because you are on a limited budget and can't think of something to accomplish this is celebratory, memorable, and won't cost a fortune. (Sure, a visit to the wine country sounds perfect; but is it worth refinancing your house and mortgage to finance this?)
Well, luckily, you can be both romantic and financially smart. Here are 5 inexpensive and exciting new ways to celebrate your anniversary.
1. Just Be Together
Take the afternoon faraway from work, turn off the cellular phone, stop checking your email, and just spend some quality time together and save money. Keep it simple and remove yourselves from your busy everyday lives. Celebrate your lifetime together because that is what your anniversary is all about.
2. Match Your Gift with Your Anniversary Year
If this really is your fifth anniversary, give five roses. If that is your 10th anniversary, offer a 10-minute massage. Be thoughtful and fun. Make a game out of it, and see who can appear with creative number-themed gift.
3. Give Thoughtful Gifts
For every single anniversary year, you will find traditional gifts as possible give. Like, the gift for the initial year is traditionally paper. Consider giving your partner stationery you have customized, a book, a love letter, or whatever else connected with paper. It doesn't need to be expensive, just thoughtful. There is also a contemporary anniversary gift for every single year. For example, for the fourth anniversary, the current gift is appliances, which is actually a lot cheaper than the usual pricey little bit of technology. If you're interested in what these gifts are, listed here is a handy set of traditional and modern anniversary gifts by year.
4. Watch Your Wedding Video
I don't think I've ever watched my wedding video. Honestly, I am not even sure where it is. But what's the idea of having a movie made if you should be not going to view it? Your anniversary is a great opportunity to consider that special day, so pull out that wedding DVD and watch highlights together. If you don't have one, perhaps you've a movie of a secondary you took or another memorable occasion. If not, look throughout your wedding album or pictures that you took throughout your years together.
5. Get Crafty
If you should be feeling a little artsy, go decorate some pottery for each other (most towns have a DIY pottery studio or two). Or make something together, such as a photo album or scrapbook of the prior year's events.
